A number of water resource and mining degree programs at the UA are at risk of being eliminated according to a report by the Arizona Star. UA administrators have reportedly identified 32 degree programs that have low numbers of graduates in recent years. Among them are these geoscience related programs:
Bachelor's programs:
• Environmental and water resource economics, 3 graduates
• Environmental hydrology and water resources, 6 graduates
• Mining engineering, 19 graduates
Master's programs:
• Mining geological and geophysical engineering, 6 graduatesDoctoral programs:
• Mining geological and geophysical engineering, 2 graduates
