Fault rupture photos released

The Southern California Seismic Network (www.scsn.org) updated their web site late this morning with a series of aerial map views of aftershocks from Sunday's Sierra El Mayor magnitude 7.2 earthquake, and posted the first of 1,500 heli-photos of the rupture zone (right).

SCSN says the 1,000 plus aftershocks show an activity and decay rate 'very close' to that for Southern California earthquakes.
