The University of Arizona Laboratory of Tree Ring Research has spent its nearly 70 years of existence in temporary quarters under the Arizona Stadium. But construction is getting underway on the $12 million Bryan Bannister Tree Ring Building that will include labs, offices, public exhibit space and an auditorium. It should be complete by October 2012. The tree ring samples will be moved into the former Math East building once those occupants are relocated.
