ASU Origins Symposium: is the universe teeming with life?

The Origins Symposium kicked off today at ASU in Tempe, with a debate among leading astrobiologists about the origin of life on Earth and whether (where) there is life elsewhere in the universe.

NPR's Science Friday broadcast it live and Talk of the Nation recorded the 48 minute long event which can be heard online.

Monday's program will feature an impressive series of public presentations including a number of Nobel Prize scientists and culminating with a featured lecture by Stephen Hawking at 8:30 pm.
